2026 Year-to-Date Highlights and Upcoming Programs

This year marks our sixth year of Seniorcize at the Rappahannock Senior Center in Castleton, Virginia. We cherish the relationships we have built with the seniors and enjoy helping them stay active while exploring fun and engaging ways to maintain their health and wellness.

We are especially proud that several of our mentored youth volunteer at the Senior Center, demonstrating the importance of service, compassion, and giving back to the community.

One of our favorite events this year was a special Derby Day celebration at the Senior Center. Participants enjoyed friendly "horse races," followed by Derby pie and mock mint juleps, creating a memorable afternoon for everyone involved.

For the second consecutive year, we will host our seniors for a picnic and fishing outing at Narmada Winery in Amissville, Virginia. We extend our sincere gratitude to Narmada Winery for generously sharing their beautiful property and helping make this event possible.

In the Dominican Republic, Pastor Newton has successfully advanced the development of an after-school homework and study center. We are honored to partner with him by providing much-needed internet access and computer resources to support local students.

Through the generosity of our donors, we provided football helmets, mouthguards, and shoulder pads to underserved youth participating in León's FC Youth American Football Team in San José, Costa Rica. This support promotes youth development, physical activity, teamwork, and access to organized sports in communities with limited resources.

Our study facility in Jamaica continues to serve students despite the challenges posed by a catastrophic Category 5 hurricane. Although operations were briefly interrupted, the facility fortunately avoided major damage and remains an important educational resource for local children.

We are also excited to announce the opening of our third international children's study facility, located in Honduras, further expanding our commitment to educational opportunities for youth around the world.

Closer to home, we continue to provide lawn care services for elderly residents and frontline workers. These projects give children who have attended our sports camps, along with our mentored youth, valuable opportunities to learn the importance of community service and helping others.

This year, a group of young boys also had the opportunity to participate in an outdoor camping experience where they enjoyed fishing, games, fellowship, and the chance to create lasting memories.

We are proud to once again serve as an MVP Sponsor of the Beyond the Court Basketball Camp in Camden, South Carolina. Over three days, participants develop basketball skills while learning valuable life lessons. We are especially pleased that two children from Rappahannock County will be attending the camp this year.

Looking Ahead

We have an exciting lineup of camps scheduled for this summer, including programs in Spartanburg, South Carolina; Churchill Downs, Kentucky; the Baltimore, Maryland area; Saratoga Springs, New York; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Massanutten, Virginia; and additional locations that will be announced in the coming months.

Thank You!!

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters. Your contributions of time, resources, and encouragement allow us to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, seniors, and communities both locally and internationally.

Thank you for helping us build stronger communities and brighter futures.

Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
